Victor Trumper: Bronze statue, 1.25 times life size (overall 2.8m tall with integral base) depicting Trumper in his well recognised stance. Created by renowned Australian sculptor, Louis Laumen (1958 - ), signed by the artist on the base and dated '1999'. Privately commissioned & owned, the sculpture has been on loan to the Melbourne Cricket Ground. A magnificent piece which would embellish any collection - private or institutional. [Victor Trumper was the Australian cricketer known as the most stylish and versatile batsman of the Golden Age, capable of playing match-winning innings on wet wickets his contemporaries found unplayable.
