An Impressive Coastal Sepik River Wood Carved Spirit Mask the eyes, nasal, mouth and chin line of applied reddish brown paste in relief and decorated with small cowrie shells inlay, some larger cowrie shells are incorporated in the chin line decoration, fringed by bound vegetable fibres, the nose decorated with a pair of small boar's tusks, the mask painted in black, ochre, pinkish and white lime pigments.
