A Melanesian Ancestral Mask carved with a heart shaped small face below a prominent and high brow decorated with incised carving flanked by a pair of large oval cupped ears with serrated carved lobes, the hooded eyes, nose and non-pierced mouth with teeth carved in relief, serrated carving defining the chin line, patinated brown and green/black finish, tie holes drilled at the sides. Note; rejoined mask edge split. Height 52 cm. Width 24 cm
