The 1915 Diary of James temple Fisher plus numerous postcards, photos and prints. James (b. 1890) arrived in New Zealand from Queensland in 1894. He served in Gallipoli and France until he was wounded by a gas bomb. He was returned to the Uk where he underwent skin grafts and convalesced for about eight months. While convalescing he studied journalism and was awarded a Diploma from London University. He joined the New Zealand Railways upon his return where he worked until retiring in 1949.
