Letter of Thanks d 1901 from Duke of Cornwall & York (later King George V). Addressed to the Earl of Ranfurly, following the Royal visit to New Zealand and other countries of the Empire. 4 pages written on letterhead of York House, St. James's Palace S.W., white envelope and paper, edged in black, letter dated 8 Dec. 1901, London 1d stamp and black royal seal. He asks to be remembered to Mr & Mrs. Seddon and comments on the state of the government in New Zealand at that time, and that 'he (Mr Seddon) is certainly a very strong man' and asking 'Why has his party revolted against him?' He also mentions 'all our beautiful Maori things will be shown next year, I hope at the Imperial Institute'.
