Letter from Duchess of Cornwall & York to the Countess of Ranfurly dated 16 Sept. 1902 from Abergeldie Castle, N.B. stating 'at my request Lady Landsdowne & her committee have consented to the balance of the 500 pounds being used for the 'Veteran's Home'.' and wishing it success. She also mentions seeing Mr Seddon and his family during their stay in London and 'I was sorry to see by the papers that you have had another earthquake and I trust it has not done very much damage'. 4 page letter, with the Seal of Princess Victoria Mary on both letterhead and envelope and 1d postage stamp.
