A fine Dieppe commemorative mirror, 19th century, in richly carved ivory in Louis XV style surmounted by a crowned panel of conjoined armorials of the Houses of Louis X and his Consort Marie Leszcynska Princess of Poland held by a pair of royal guards carrying banners, the shaped sides featuring scrolling foliage and masks to each side above putti carrying baskets offruit, the base featuring a carved double portrait panel of Louis XV and hisConsort facing each other flanked by panels of helmeted guards, inscribedwith dedication and the image of a seated artist verso of the uppermost panel, complete with mercury glass, minor cracks and losses, 54 cm high, 46 cm wide
