George Witton, (1874-1942, his book on the trial and death of Breaker Morant and Lieut. Handcock was published as Scapegoats of the Empire in 1907), signature dated June 28 1907 on autograph page. (While serving with the Bushveldt Carbineers during the Boer War, Witton was accused of murder alongside Morant, Handcock, Lenehan and Picton - and was found guilty alongside Morant and Handcock. Sentenced to death by firing squad, only Witton was reprieved)
