A good second half of the 19th century carved oak striking wall clock, Dent, 34 and 35 Royal Exchange, London, number 1398 the signed and numbered 12 inch painted dial with Gothic Roman numerals and quatrefoil hands, in a carved bezel of flower heads within interlaced ribbons, the case with applied scrolls on an integral wall bracket with lotus leaf carved front edge, the twin chain fusee movement with anchor escapement striking on a circular section coiled steel gong. Height 72 cm
