An excellent early Seth Thomas wall clock, with prominent black pillars to the side with gilt capitals, three glass segments to the front, the lower two decorated, the upper showing a painted dial with Seth Thomas hands, the eight day weight driven movement with strike Note: the clock is described on page 45 of the 1879 Seth Thomas catalogue as ‘Large, rosewood, shell column'.
