A late 17th century ebonised striking clock, Thomas Taylor, in Houlbourn (sic) surmounted by a shaped handle over four tall finials, elaborate moulded cornice over glazed side panels to a plinth base, the rectangular dial signed along the uppermost edge over a silvered Roman and Arabic dial with half quarter marks enclosing a matted centre with decorated chamfered date aperture and inset armorial device, the twin gut fusee movement with (replaced) verge escapement striking on a bell, alterations and restorations.
