A late 19th century mahogany quarter chiming long case clock, the arched hood with cluster columns to the front over canted front corners flanking the glazed trunk door with shaped aperture, on a carved panel base, the 13 inch arched brass dial with three subsidiaries for strike/silent, chime/silent and Whittington/Westminster chime over a silvered chapter ring with applied Arabic numerals, the centre with gilt metal scrollwork, the substantial movement with deadbeat escapement striking the hours on a tube and chiming the quarters on a run of eight tubes and hammers.
