A rare late 19th century oak table regulator with detent escapement, attributed to Evans, Birmingham, the back plate numbered 39435 the arched case surmounted by four turned finials over a concave moulded cornice and long arched glazed panels to a plinth base, the 6. 5 inch dial with Roman chapter ring enclosing a polished centre with subsidiary seconds dial the open aperture revealing the detent and scape wheel, the single chain fusee movement with shaped plates and wheels of five crossings, mounted on three tapering columns 45 cm high
