A mid 19th century rosewood quarter chiming bracket clock, Webster, Queen Victoria St, London, no 18872 the shallow bell top with handle and four ball finials over well engraved pierced brass sound frets, the front angles canted and stop fluted, on a brass-bound base on ogee bracket feet, the shaped shouldered dial with chime/silent subsidiary over a Roman chapter ring within a pattern of engraved foliate scrolls, the substantial triple chain fusee movement with anchor escapement chiming the quarters on a nest of eight bells and striking the hours on a gong.
