Len Castle, large and impressive Discoid vase, press moulded stoneware washed with yellow ochre pigment and burnt umber, 1980s, impressed potter's Lc mark above the foot, 45 x 47 x 22 cm. Exhibited: 'Making the Molecules dance: Len Castle ceramics, a retrospective exhibition 1947-1994', Dowse Art Museum, September - November 1994 (touring 1995-1996), no. 67. Illustrated in the catalogue of the exhibition in the front-end pocket.
