A large Victorian walnut hall stand, Herts Brothers, 806 & 808 Broadway, Ny, active 1872-1908, circa 1890, the large late Victorian hall stand with American Aesthetic influence, with central rectangular mirror flanked by two rows of foliate carved columns with moulded capitals supporting turned and cast hooks and separated by burr walnut panels, with carved demi-lune sun designs above, the mid height marble shelf with drawer and panelled cupboard flanked by umbrella stands with drip trays, on a breakfront plinth base; stamped with maker's mark under, the marble and behind. Height 263 cm, width 188 cm, depth 47 cm
