A large French opalescent and clear glass charger by Pierre D'Avesn, Pierre D'avesn (France, 1901-1990), numbered 149, circa 1930s, the moulded 'Oiseau de Paradis' charger, relief decorated to, the interior with a fantastic bird amidst scrolling fern fronds and flower heads, in blue modulating colours and signed 'D'avesn France' and numbered in relief to, the feather's underside. Pierre D'Avesn is, the artistic pseudonym adopted by Pierre Girre, who worked as a designer for Rene Lalique for ten years and later Daum. Height 5 cm, diameter: 38 cm
