A fine pair of Victorian sterling silver and etched glass claret jugs, 1852 London, with maker's mark for John Wilmin Figg, the pair of claret jugs with cylindrical glass body to a bulbous compressed base etched with grapes, vines, and vacant cartouche, with glass loop handle and star-cut base, the mount repousse and chased with grotesque mask and gesticulating putti under floral swags, the hinged cover with floral and rais-de-coeur borders centering a seated putto finial, each marked twice. Total weight 2610g height 28.5 cm
