A rare collection of original Frank Hurley photographs from the 'Endurance' Expedition Led by Ernest Shackleton, 1914 - 1917:, vintage silver gelatin photograph, 15 x 20 cm, laid down on grey card, numbered '1' in the top right corner and titled in manuscript below the image 'Locked in the ice'. Our research suggests that the hand-writing is Hurley's. The photographs were presented to an American colleague of Hurley's in the 1930s.
