Sinking of the Lusitania medal. Originally issued in Germany, this cast iron replica was produced by the British 'Lusitania souvenir medal Committee' as a wartime fundraiser. All profits went to the St Dunstan's Blinded soldiers and sailors Hostel. Features a skeleton issuing Cunard tickets to unwary voyagers. Obverse has the Lusitania going down with the words 'Keine Bann Ware' (no contraband) in references to the Americans supplying weapons. Not correct in this instance. In its box of issue (poor condition) and original flyer. Diameter 55m m.
