Very rare Gregory steel knife, circa 1914-1918. Early dagger hand forged by Jim Gregory. Earliest known example of a Gregory steel Products (Gregsteel) knife. Stamped on the ricasso 'J.H. Gregory Collingwood', and 'Made in Australia' on the reverse. Length 36.5 cm. Literature: published and illustrated in the book 'Edgemaster' by Keith Spencer. Other notes: one of Australia's biggest manufacturers of knives, Jim Gregory started his business in 1912. This appears to be a unique design, possibly a custom commission.
