A large Japanese vase by Kanzan Denshichi I (1821-1890). Meiji period (1868-1912), c. 1870s. Of baluster form with two handles at the shoulder, intricately decorated with overglazde enamels and gilding with overlapping cartouches containing figures in landscapes and vignettes of flowers, signature to base. Together with the tomobako (original signed box). Dimensions: approx height 39.5 cm
