A Dehua white glazed censer. Ming Dynasty, Chongzhen period (1628-1644). Chongzhen period (1628-1644), of cylindrical shape with lipped rim, three bowstring bands, an impressed key-fret band around the center, and three ruyi head feet, all covered with an even, ivory-white glaze. Incised with Kuilong pattern. A very similar, slightly larger censer from the Butler family collection was sold at Christie's Hong Kong in the auction 'Important Chinese ceramics and works of Art' on November 29, 2022, lot 2945.
