A carved Ding 'Lotus' dish. Song Dynasty, 11th-12th century. The dish has angled sides and is carved on the interior with a single lotus sprig with scrolling leaves, covered with a warm ivory glaze. Provenance: Luen Chai, Hong Kong (labelled). A private collection, Adelaide. Similar example: Christie's Hong Kong.
