French 19th century 18ct gold gem set belt hook, stamped with eagle head 18ct fineness mark to clip, the clip head set with an oval cut citrine in a pierced tri tone gold foliate border, surrounded by eight bezel set turquoise cabochons, set above a ring suspending five matching breloques; a harp charm with locket to base, the inside cover written in enamels 'Essayons un Duo', translated 'Let's try a duet', a 'Souvenir' purse with hinged cover, butterfly containing two lockets and a vinaigrette, plus two miniature ring form charms set with citrine and amethyst stones, each accented in tri-tone gold and turquoise, total weight 22.26gm published: "How the watch was worn, a fashion for 500 Years', by Genevieve Cummins, colour plate 111, page 49.
