Boucheron 18ct gold & enamel chatelaine and bar brooch suite, c.1885, both pieces engraved 'Fic Boucheron Paris', and date '30th Avril 1885', with monogram 'Ah,' the brooch form watch chatelaine in exquisite pierced 18ct yellow gold with neoclassical bird and foliate fret designs within c-scroll borders, the design beautifully set above an engine turned electric blue guilloche enamel backing, suspending a manual wind watch with case of matching design, stamped 'Boucheron' to the white enamel dial, with surrounding Roman numeral and Arabic chapter rings in blue and black enamels, the pierced gold hands accented with small round cut diamonds, currently winding and running, case diameter 2.5 cm, weight 46.05gm, total drop 9.5 cm, the matching brooch of rounded rectangular bar form, in matching design, weight 10.25gm, width 4.5 cm (2) together with letter of provenance dated 1996, stating the piece as originally belonging to the then owners grand mother Alice Houllier, born 1874. She received the chatelaine and brooch for her Catholic communion aged 11.
