Two 19th century Ambrotype portraits, comprising c.1855 portrait of a lady in thoughtful pose with head resting on left hand, with subtle pink toning to cheeks and hand painted gilt accents to earrings, brooch, watch and watch chain, visible plate 6.5 cm, 5 cm, together with a larger portrait of a seated lady on a carved spindle back chair, possibly in mourning with jet jewellery visible, with subtle gilt accents to neck chain suspending a pendant watch and seal, visible plate 9 cm, 6.5 cm, in half case frame (2) published: "How the watch was worn, a fashion for 500 Years', by Genevieve Cummins.
