Large mid 19th century American silver ewer, c.1840, by Robert & William Wilson, Philadelphia, with a floriform lip, the body beautifully decorated with fruit branches and birds in flight, with central cartouche surrounded by a bark textured finish, the whole raised on a circular base, with lower grape vine decoration, stamped R & W.
