Rare late 18th century steel watch chatelaine, the pierced foliate cut steel waist plaque suspending six period appendages; a rare outer watch pair-case of matching pierced foliate design with push button clasp, case diameter 5 cm, two watch cranks, coat of arms wax seal and a spinner seal, plus later tape measure, total length 20 cm published: "How the watch was worn, a fashion for 500 Years', by Genevieve Cummins, colour plate 62, page 32.
