Superb H.W Dee gilt silver Norwegian belt, hallmarked London, 1872, H.W.D (Henry William Dee), the belt showcasing excellent workmanship in the form of a intricate mesh link design, with central quick release buckle decorated in repeating linear convex mouldings, flanked to each side with two rectangular sliders, the smaller suspending a loose ring drops for suspending accessories, fastening at the rear with seven eyelets, total weight 426gm, total length 70.5 cm, mesh width 2.6 cm, buckle width 3.7 cm published: "How the watch was worn, a fashion for 500 Years', by Genevieve Cummins, colour plate 199a, page 82.
