For Marsh & Hoffmann/Albany N.Y.', stamped to inner case back 18k, case #71651, the 18ct yellow gold case beautifully decorated in black and white enamels depicting cupid, the inner case engraved 'Lucianne Tracey (?)/ Christmas 1894', weight 25.79gm, case diameter 29 mm, suspended on a gilt metal French c.1880 chatelaine stamped 'Mt' (possibly Thierry Michelot), finely set with black and white enamel plaques depicting a young woman in a classical scene, on a gilt metal frame work case with stylised foliates and Chinese inspired roundels, flanking the watch are three appendages; a jet perfume bottle, Bakelite seal and watch key, total length 21 cm published: "How the watch was worn, a fashion for 500 Years', by Genevieve Cummins, colour plate 214 and 215, page 87.
