An opaque-twist ratafia glass, English circa 1760, ratafia bowl with moulded basal fluting, twisted slightly at basel, slightly tapering from foot with single spiral opaque twist with a lace twist outlined stem, and a conical foot. Height 208 mm, Foot/Stem/Bowl 70/12/50 mm. A fine and beautiful glass. Ratafia was a liqueur made by steeping almod kernels and other ingredients in spirits.
