A point-engraved Newcastle light baluster, English circa 1748, round Funnel bowl, the stem annulated over straight section, with a drop at bottom, and a silver conical replacement foot, Dutch hall marks (1814-1905), diamond point line engraved with allegorical representation of marriage showing soldier with trident and sword holding hand of lady in front of an angel with a flaming torch, soat of arms of noble family Van Kretschmar (left) and family Vlaardingerwout (right). Height 205 mm, Foot/Stem/Bowl 74/10/86 mm. Provenance: The wedding marked by this glass was in 1748. Diamond point line engraving attributed as possibly Zwerts by Rijksmuseum, see last pictures.
