A wine glass, gilded, James Giles, English circa 1760, ogee bowl, plain stem, and a conical foot, gilded with floral sprays, insects and sprigs on both bowl and foot in the James Giles studio. Height 145 mm, Foot/Stem/Bowl 50/14/67 mm. The flowers and the insect both strongly support the Giles attribution. Rare to find gilding extending to the foot.
