Description:
Large blue and white water jar and cover, each side of the tapering ovoid body is well painted with a lengthy inscription below a band of dragon and phoenix medallions. The high shoulder is decorated with the five charcters, below the short waisted neck and ribbed mouth rim. The cover has a deep inner rim and is decorated with a five-clawed dragon leaping around a flaming pearl amidst clouds and flames within a circular medallion. Six character mark to base. Wood stand, and reasonably rare. Height 41 cm.
