An Eames desk unit by Vitra, Vitra's Eames desk unit (Edu) consists of a veneered plywood top and black, powder coated steel frame which catches the eye with its slim cross structures. In new condition with Vitra paperwork. The brightly coloured panels give the desk a playful edge and partially enclose its two storage compartments. The metal legs can be individually adjusted to fit uneven floors. Charles and Ray Eames designed the Eames storage unit (Esu) and Eames desk unit (Edu) in 1949. The innovative, lightweight structure of the furniture was based on the principles of industrial production, just like the iconic Eames house. Honouring the spirit of 1940s and 50s, the contemporary colour palette of Edu and Esu was developed together with Eames office and the Dutch designer Hella Jongerius, height 76 cm, width 152.5 cm, diameter 71 cm
