An early 20th century lidded box carved by Thomas Aubrey Chappe Hall. Varnished wood box carved with rauponga patterns to the lid and wheku figures carved to the lateral and undersides. Protruding wheku heads form the side handles. Embellished with inlaid cut paua and glass beads. Height 5 cm, width 35 cm, depth 7 cm.
