Circa 1910. Gunmetal open face alarm watch. Brass crown for winding and a silvery bow. Knobs. protruding from either side of the winding stem for setting the hands and the alarm. Buttons. on the base to allow the watch to stand more or less upright when the back cover is opened, so that it becomes a small (bedside) table clock. White enamel dial, black Arabic hour numerals and subsidiary seconds dial. Marked on the. dial "The Glow-Worm". "Gold" hands, "gold" round dots on the outside of the hour. numerals, "gold" alarm indicator. These "gold" hands and dots are presumably luminous so. that they can be seen in the dark. Stem wound movement, cylinder escapement, 11 jewels. Back of case opens to give access to the alarm setting button, and to allow the watch to stand on end as an alarm clock.
