Description:
A percussion single barrel trip gun, According to the vendor these guns were used at Eaglehawk neck port Arthur. Escaping convicts had to first get past the sentry boxes and initially they found this relatively easy. So these Trip guns were set up concealed in the grass as an additional deterrent. They were not satisfactory so were then replaced by chained guard dogs
