Description:
A 17th/18th century Indo Persian full length chain mail coat, of medium riveted iron rings, partially opened at the front and extending to the ankles, vented at front and back at the bottom, and with half-length sleeves. A (possibly later) padded fabric collar to the neck. Length 113 cm approx. Provenance: The estate of Richard Rice. A noted and life-long Gisborne collector. Purchased the Autumn London Arms and Armour Fair 23 Sept 2011.
