A Chinese blue and white ovoid Millet jar, probably later Qing, 19th century the Chongzhen-style jar of compressed ovoid form with a short neck, pierced to the shoulder with two pairs of holes on opposite sides for bail handles, decorated with a scene of an official in a rocky garden setting accompanied by attendants holding banners and offering a strongbox and a buffalo, the reverse with mountains amidst vaporous clouds and waves, below the neck decorated with pendent leaves.
