A parcel glazed red Pottery rectangular censer, Ming Dynasty (1368-1643) modelled after the archaic bronze vessels of the Shang or Western Zhou dynasty, the red pottery incense burner (no cover) of oblong section and raised on four unglazed slightly everted feet, the waisted body applied with two flared handles rising above the lip, the bulbous sides moulded with floral and phoenix designs, glazed in lead green and amber.
