An ivory figure of Vajradhara on stand, Qing Dynasty, 19th century finely carved wearing long flowing robes and bodhisattva jewels, seated in vajraparyankasana on a multi-petalled lotus flower within openwork foliate scrolls, pods and blooms above a stepped hexagonal base encircled with ruyi heads, with hands clasping a vajra and ghanta, the face with crisply carved features and hair drawn into a high chignon encircled with a five petalled diadem of Buddha images, upon an intricately carved hardwood hexagonal waisted stand.
