A stainless steel Seiko 6139-6002 "Silver Pogue" chronograph wristwatch, circa 1972 (Jan). 41 mm case with notched crown guard, blue and red tachymeter aluminum bezel insert. Automatic self-winding mechanical movement, 17 jewels. Silver dial with luminous index markers, 30 minute counter at 6 o'clock and day/date display at 3 o'clock with mineral crystal glass. The Seiko Pogue gained its nickname from Colonel William Pogue, a NASA astronaut who wore it during the Skylab 4 mission in 1973-1974. This made the Seiko 6139 the first automatic chronograph to be worn in space, adding a touch of space history to its already impressive resume.
