Queen Elizabeth II awarded Obe decoration Obe insignia, with ribbon and insignia medal, in original fitted case, including card: 'Instructions as to wearing Insignia,' together with framed certificate hand signed by Queen Elizabeth, and price Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, as grand master, and including the booklet entitled 'Status of the most excellent order of the British Empire,' and an extract from a newspaper article at the time of the award. Note: the award was made in 1959 to Mr August Wharton Paul, of Croydon, Director general of social Services, for outstanding public services.
