19th century mantle clock, Edward John Dent (1790?1853), the circular face with Roman numerals, set within an arched case, accented with gilt, the sides displaying fret work panels, with keys and pendulum, height 36 cm note: Edward Dent in 1852 won commission to make Big Ben at the house of Parliament in London.
