A fine Empire revival burl walnut and Karelian birch linen press, late 19th century, the breakfront arched robe in warm colours with fine inlay and banding decoration, with a central bevelled mirrored door flanked by long columns with gilt capitals, the side doors with contrasting Karelian birch banding, mother-of-pearl spandrels and marquetry panels of 'Winged victory' blowing trumpets with gilt bronze anthemion trims, surmounted by a laurel wreath gilt bronze crest and foliage, and raised on six square tapering capped feet, with internal shelves throughout and keys.
