A Napoleon III gilt-bronze mounted and inlaid ebonised lady's writing desk, circa 1860 in the manner of Alphonse Giroux (Paris), the brass and mother-of-pearl inlaid writing desk with a bombe curved body, the top with a three quarter pierced bronze gallery above a fall front opening to a fitted interior with three short drawers veneered in burr walnut and a blue velvet writing surface, all raised on cabriole legs, adorned with gilt bronze mounts, espagnolettes and sabots.
