A Louis XV style inlaid tulipwood & gilt bronze Bonheur-Du-Jour, the fine c1900 lady's writing desk or bonheur-du-jour with a bronze-edged shaped top inset with tooled leather writing surface and surmounted with an arrangement of bombe profile shaped niches and small drawers, with a central pierced gallery, one drawer fitted with lion mask inkwells, above a keyhole front with three shaped drawers, decorated with diamond parquetry design, the sides and back conforming, the right hand drawer fitted with a fold down mirror, all raised upon tapering cabriole legs with rams head foliate gilt bronze surmounts, trims and well-cast sabots.
