A Japanese Art Deco bronze vase and a Chinese soapstone carving, 20th century, the Japanese bronze circular vase of slightly tapering cylindrical form, decorated to the top with a continuous band of birds on branches, with a patinated finish, maker's stamp underside, together with a Chinese polychrome painted soapstone, carved in openwork with a musician playing the transverse flute (dizi), the underside with a carved seal mark.
